Full-colour DTF printing that keeps every detail

We print every Photo Print T-Shirt using DTF (direct-to-film) full-colour transfer. DTF is the right method for photographs because it lays down a complete colour image — including a white underbase — so skin tones stay natural, backgrounds don't wash out, and fine detail like eyelashes, freckles, text on a sign or the texture of fur all survive the move from screen to shirt. The result is a crisp, photographic print with smooth gradients rather than a flat, posterised look. For bold single-colour designs such as a name or a simple silhouette we'd reach for heat-press vinyl instead, but for a true photo, DTF is what gives you that sharp, lifelike finish.

Getting the best result from your photo

Print quality starts with the file you send. For the sharpest result, supply a high-resolution photo — ideally 1200px or larger on the longest edge — taken in good lighting with a clear subject. Slightly soft or imperfect originals are usually salvageable: we can de-noise grainy shots, crop and reframe, and colour-correct before printing, and every order includes a free digital proof so you can see and approve the layout before anything is pressed. Sizing, colours and care

The Photo Print T-Shirt comes in sizes XS to 3XL, so you can kit out the whole family or order a single one-off. White or light grey shirts give the best colour reproduction, letting the photo's own tones come through accurately — darker garments are possible but can mute lighter colours. The tee is machine washable; to keep the print looking its best, wash inside out at 30°C, avoid harsh tumble drying and don't iron directly over the image. Looked after this way, a quality DTF print stays vivid and crack-resistant through wash after wash.
