Shure SM7B Covers

Custom Shure SM7B Mic Covers

Custom-branded foam covers for the Shure SM7B — the most-photographed podcast microphone in the world. Our premium PU foam SM7B cover (£24.95) carries your podcast, studio or channel logo in full colour on both sides, so every YouTube thumbnail, Spotify cover and behind-the-scenes reel doubles as an ad for your show. The PU foam does the same job as the stock windscreen — taming plosives and breath noise — while looking sharper on camera. UK-made in our East London workshop with a free design proof before anything is printed, single-unit minimum order, free UK delivery, and free same-day London collection when you order before 11am.

Will this fit my Shure SM7B?

Yes — the cover is made to the SM7B's windscreen dimensions and fits snugly over the mic head. If you use a different large broadcast dynamic mic, message us and we'll confirm the fit before you order.

Is the logo printed on both sides?

Yes — the SM7B cover is printed double-sided in full colour, so your branding reads whichever side of the mic faces the camera.

Will the cover change how my SM7B sounds?

No — the PU foam does the same job as the stock windscreen, taming plosives and breath noise. You get the same protection with your branding on top.

Can I order just one?

Yes. Single-unit minimum on every product — one cover for your own studio is fine. Automatic bulk discounts apply from 10+ units for podcast networks and studios.

How fast is delivery?

We send a free design proof first, then dispatch in 2–3 working days. Free standard UK delivery (3–4 working days after dispatch), next-day from £12, or free same-day London collection when you order before 11am.

SM7B covers explained: fit, sound and what the print does

The Shure SM7B ships with two windscreens of its own, so a custom cover has to do the same acoustic job and add the branding without getting in the way. This is how ours is made and what to expect.

Fit

The cover is cut to the SM7B's grille, so it slides on over the metal basket in the same way as the stock A7WS windscreen and sits snug without tape or clips. It fits the SM7B and the SM7dB, which share the same grille. If you are not sure which microphone you have, the mic finder will match it.

Sound

Our SM7B cover is premium PU foam at a density chosen to match the job the stock foam does: tame plosives and breath noise without rolling off the top end. The print sits on the surface of the foam, not inside the cell structure, so the air path through the cover is the same as an unprinted one. If you work close to the capsule and like the thicker stock windscreen for extra plosive control, keep that in mind: ours is the standard thickness, not the thick one.

The print

Your logo is printed in full colour by dye-sublimation, which bonds the ink into the foam surface rather than sitting on top as a transfer. That is why it does not crack, peel or flake with handling, and why it can be wiped clean. The print covers both sides of the cover as standard, so the logo reads whether the microphone is on a boom arm from the left or the right. Send a vector file or a sharp PNG; a logo about 40 mm wide is the usual size on an SM7B, and we show the placement on a free proof before printing.

Why podcasters brand the SM7B specifically

The SM7B is the most-photographed microphone in podcasting and streaming, and on a video podcast it is in every frame. A branded cover turns that into a persistent logo placement that does not need a graphic, costs less than a single lower-third animation and travels with the microphone to every studio and event. Networks with several identical microphones use the cover to tell shows apart on set, and studios use a house-branded cover for hire bookings.

Cleaning and lifespan

Wipe with a damp cloth, or hand wash in mild soap and leave to dry fully before refitting. Do not tumble dry and do not use alcohol wipes, which dry the foam out. In daily use a PU foam cover lasts around one to two years before the foam softens; the print lasts as long as the foam does. Many studios keep a spare so one can dry while the other is in use.

Ordering

The cover is sold singly at the single price with no minimum; networks and studios fitting out a whole room can ask for a set price. Production is one to two working days after you approve the proof, delivery is free across the UK and takes three to four working days after dispatch, and London customers can collect from Spelman Street in E1. Reorders print from the file on record. For the Rode PodMic, the Blue Yeti, the Electro-Voice RE20 and other microphones, the foam windscreen covers category lists every model we make.
