Because everything is printed on-site rather than sent out to a third party, we keep control of timing and quality from artwork to finished garment. Full-colour prints that survive the wash
Hoodies are usually dark — black, charcoal, navy, bottle green — and that's exactly where DTF (direct-to-film) earns its place. DTF lays down a white under-base before the colour, so a full-colour logo, a photograph or a bright gradient reads just as cleanly on a black hoodie as it would on a white tee. No colour washes out into the fabric, fine detail and small text stay sharp, and there are no screens to burn — which is why a one-off full-colour hoodie costs the same per print as one from a batch of fifty.
The transfer bonds into cotton-rich and poly-cotton fabrics and presses flat, so the finish has a soft hand-feel rather than a thick rubbery patch sitting on top of the garment. Pressed correctly and washed inside-out at 30°C, DTF prints hold their colour and edges through repeated washes — built to last a season of training, a year at uni or a festival run, not just the first wear. For bold single-colour lettering — a name, a number, a one-word slogan — we'll often reach for heat-press vinyl instead, which gives a crisp, hard-wearing matte finish. We pick whichever method suits your artwork and tell you which we'd recommend.
