Bulk T-Shirt Printing in London: How Pricing Works (10 to 500+ Shirts)

Ask three print shops for a price on 50 t-shirts and you will get three answers that are not comparable, because bulk t-shirt printing is priced in two fundamentally different ways. Once you understand which one you are being quoted, the numbers make sense.

Two ways to price a bulk run

Screen printing charges a setup per colour, per design, then a low unit cost. It rewards very large runs of one simple design in one or two colours, and punishes anything else: every extra colour is another screen, every design change is a new setup, and a run of 30 mixed sizes with two versions of the artwork gets expensive fast.

DTF (direct-to-film) transfer has no screens and therefore no setup fee. You pay per print, in unlimited colours, and the per-unit price falls with quantity. Mixed sizes, mixed colours and even mixed designs can go through the same batch.

We print DTF and heat-press vinyl only — we do not offer screen printing. For most runs under a few hundred shirts that works in your favour, and for the rare very large single-colour job where screen printing genuinely wins on unit cost, we will tell you so rather than sell you the wrong method.

What a bulk order costs

Because there is no setup fee, the maths is simple: shirt plus print, with the per-unit price stepping down as the quantity rises.

• 1–9 shirts: order online — custom logo t-shirts from £14.95, with an automatic volume discount from the second shirt.
• 10 shirts and up: ask for a quote through our bulk t-shirt printing page. A personal quote lets us price the exact garment, colour and print size rather than the online default.
• Front and back print: £6 per shirt on top.
• Names or numbers on each shirt: free. A sports team t-shirt with a different name and number on every back costs the same per shirt as a plain logo run.

Mixed sizes and designs in one run

This is where DTF changes the conversation. An event order of 40 shirts — 12 small, 15 medium, 10 large, 3 XL, half of them with "CREW" on the back and half with "VOLUNTEER" — is one batch to us, not two setups. Charity runs, festivals, hen parties and school trips all rely on that flexibility, and it is the single most common reason a screen-print quote comes back higher than ours.

How long does a bulk run take?

Our workshop presses 100–150 DTF shirts a day, so most bulk orders fit comfortably inside the standard 1–2 working days after proof approval. Larger runs into the hundreds take a little longer — tell us your date and we will confirm before you pay. Express production is available when an event is close, and London customers can collect from our E1 workshop, five minutes from Liverpool Street. Free tracked UK delivery applies to every order, however big.

Getting a straight price

Three things get you an accurate bulk quote in one message:

1. Quantity, with a rough size split (it can change before printing).
2. Your logo or design — vector ideally, a good PNG otherwise.
3. Your deadline — it decides whether standard or express production applies.
