Rectangular vs. standard windshield — which do you want?

Both work on the same transmitter. The choice is purely about visual surface and on-screen presence:

• Standard windshield (£19.50) — smaller, more discrete, closer to the OEM look. Best for documentary work where you don't want the cover to dominate the shot
• Rectangular cover (this product, £19.95) — larger, flatter, more visible brand surface. Best for vlogging, influencer content, and anywhere you want the branding to read clearly at viewing distance

If your content is on YouTube/TikTok and the viewer is watching on a phone screen, the rectangular cover reads dramatically better — your brand stays legible even at thumbnail size.

What you can print on it

The rectangular face gives you proportionally more print area than the standard windshield — perfect for full channel names, longer brand lockups, or multi-word taglines that would crop badly on a curved surface. Full-colour, edge-to-edge, sublimated into the foam fibres. Send vector artwork (SVG, AI) for the sharpest results; high-res PNG works. Free mockup before printing, you approve before production.

Sound and acoustic transparency

Foam density matches Rode's OEM windscreen — acoustic transparency preserved, frequency response unchanged. The print is applied to the outer surface only, so the acoustic path through to the capsule is identical to using the bare OEM windscreen. Bonus: the slightly larger foam profile improves outdoor wind rejection meaningfully compared to the stock windscreen.

Will it look weird vs. the standard windshield in shot?

Slightly larger, slightly more "branded look." If you want OEM-discretion, get the standard windshield. If you want the brand to actually read on camera, get the rectangular. Both are valid for different content styles.

Does it work on the original Wireless GO (not GO II)?

Yes — both have the same transmitter housing. Fits both.

Will it affect lavalier sound quality?

No. Acoustic transparency preserved; capsule frequency response unchanged. Slight bonus: better outdoor wind rejection due to the larger foam profile.

Can I have different designs on each transmitter?

Yes — distinct artwork on each transmitter at no extra cost. Many creators put their channel logo on one transmitter and a sponsor logo on the other for paid content.
