For radio stations and broadcast producers, the microphone is on camera in every studio video clip, every behind-the-scenes social post, every press shoot. Every major UK station — BBC, Capital, Heart, LBC, talkSPORT, Times Radio — uses some form of branded mic windscreen for visual identification.
We supply UK independent and community radio stations, broadcast podcasters, and TV production companies with custom-branded foam covers for professional broadcast mics:
- Electro-Voice RE20 — the radio-station standard. 60mm head, 80mm cover height. Most stations order 4-8 for their studio rigs. - Shure SM7B — increasingly common for podcast studios. Standard or A7WS replacement spec. - Sennheiser MD421 — the BBC standard. 60mm head, 75mm cover. - Heil PR40 / PR30 — popular at small-station and podcast network level. - Rode Procaster — budget broadcast tier.
Broadcast-grade spec: We use a slightly denser PU foam for broadcast covers than for podcast covers — the print quality survives daily studio handling, regular cleaning between presenters, and the kind of broadcast lighting that yellows cheap foam within months.
Station rigs typically need 4-8 matching covers (one per booth + spares). We'll quote on bulk and ship directly to the studio with the station name on the package.
