Five branded SM7B covers for a top-10 UK podcast network
Five black SM7B foam covers, one logo, printed and delivered in a week so a studio full of identical microphones became identifiably theirs on camera.
- The brief
- Five Shure SM7B microphones in a London studio, all identical, all on camera for the video version of every episode. The network wanted the show mark on the foam rather than a sticker on the body.
- What we made
- 5 × custom Shure SM7B foam covers in black, single logo position, full-colour dye-sublimated print.
- Why black
- The SM7B is already black. A black cover with the logo reversed out reads as part of the microphone on camera instead of an add-on, which is what a network wants on a set it has already art-directed.
- Turnaround
- Free digital proof first, then 1–2 working days production after approval, printed at our Spelman Street workshop in London E1.
The result
A rack of identical studio microphones now carries the show identity in every camera frame, for less than the cost of a single lower-third graphic. The covers slip off for cleaning and back on in seconds, and reorders print from the same file with no setup fee.
